Since the day we met Josie we knew she was special. Josie is not your typical realtor. Josie cares about the well being of her clients and she is a realtor that really makes the time to inform and educate her clients about the market, and the neighborhood where you are shopping for. Josie has been our realtor since 2006 when we purchased our apartment in the Brickell area. After having worked with some realtors that wanted us to sign offers after just a couple of hours after meeting them, Josie was our "savior". What we most admire about her is that she will not push a property on you. Josie took the time to show us many properties until we found the right place within our budget. Josie is extremely patient, and dedicated to meeting our needs and the needs of her clients. We know we are blessed for having Josie as our realtor and we truly enjoy the friendship that we have developed with her over the last few years. We’ve known Josie and her husband, Tony, for over 10 years. What started as a business acquaintance developed very easily and naturally into a warm friendship. It was in this context that we used Josie’s services as a realtor when it came time to both sell our previous home and purchase our existing one. During the whole process, Josie was clear and open keeping us informed of what to expect as well as suggesting details that would help put our home in a better selling position. It’s still funny to get compliments from people who had been to the Open House day more than 5 years ago. I know Josie did a wonderful job to show our home in the best possible way and the whole process was stress free.

As far as the purchase of our existing home, again Josie worked very patiently with us week after week showing us properties and accommodating her schedule to ours. She always showed up with a smile, made as many appointments as we needed and even helped when little ones had to tag along. We didn’t know exactly what we wanted so I know that her job was not easy! When we finally found our dream home, she helped with the negotiations as well. I can only say that both processes were so smooth that I could do it all again soon...

...and we almost did, many times! Since the purchase of our existing home, we’ve often thought about moving closer to the children’s school. Once again, although not sure of what we wanted and even IF we wanted to move, Josie has been there for us always with a smile and a “let me know when you want to see something...”

When my husband and I decided we wanted to upgrade to a larger home in the Pinecrest/Palmetto Bay area I immediately thought that Josie Alvarez was the realtor to assist us with our mission. I knew that the task would be challenging, but having known Josie in a different capacity for a number of years, I also knew that she would have the patience and the resources to help us find just what we wanted. Our parameters were pretty specific and we scoured the areas we interested. Getting into homes to view them was often challenging, but Josie was always able to schedule appointments to do so within a day or two of our calling. When we found what we were looking for Josie helped us through the bidding and contract process. Then she began the initial steps to prepare listing our current home providing suggestions to make it more appelaing to buyers. Unfortunately, our contract fell through and so the search process began again. Ultimately, we did not end up purchasing a new home but there was never any pressure from Josie for us to commit to something we were not entirely convinced was right for us.Throughout the year that we endeavored to find a new home, Josie Alvarez was flexible, accommodating, and forthright, not to mention an incredibly nice person!
